2009, a group of fellow gamers and a couple of techies came together.
It was a long conversation that included a lot of talking, energy drinks, a bit
of downloading. We could state that the Amsterdam Sciencepark was the “place of birth”
for the concept of OZNB.

It would be near impossible to name every single one who was involved in these first
During the period of 2009 till December 2011 it became a concept that took form.
Especially in last weeks of December the final preparations were made to formalize
our new Foundation.

On February the 16th 2012 Martijn Klamer and Mark Lijftogt signed all the paperwork
presented by mr Goedendijk of Attent Notaris.
We would like to thank the following companies for giving us their trust and support
so we could hit the ground running. Above all we feel it’s humbling to receive your
backing while we were hardly ready to welcome you with our arms open. Thank you!

So what did we create? We have created a foundation that will make it possible for
new and upcoming it-techies to work with tools that they would most likely never see
in action at school. Even the IT people who have a college degree will likely not be
ready to hit the work floor and know what to look for.

We have extended our play-pen to a platform where people can play, work and learn at
the same time. We are funded by those who are willing to invest in us by offering them
simple and effective hosting solutions.

How far we can go, and how this will shape up and what kind credentials we might be
able to acquire are still open questions. Time will tell. But we believe we can go
pretty far with the backing we have.
Again, a big big thank you to our early birds, we would have never been able to get to
it at this speed so soon without you.
